BU-OBC: TW 2/3- MANIMALS....

.
27 May 2010, a herd of Manimals were spotted at Bandar Utama at 5:45am this morning. A witness claimed the group of people suddenly transformed into monkey, bear and crab and apparently clearing the football field from dozens of unwanted 'merchandise'... reported Armin News Network (ANN). Upon further investigation, the manimals were actually a group of people whom shared similar goal to be healthy, fitter and sexier... the manimal way.

Such will be the circuits pre-prepared for the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP @ Bandar Utama... It varies from a variety types of animal movements (see: animal workout) to human forms and endless of other carefully designed circuits but with the same objective of targeting specific muscle group, fat burn and cardio gains.

After the first trial session, we received many sms'es, emails and phone call. The majority of those that attended our first session on Tuesday were down with a whole body-ache. Many had overslept and some misunderstood that they had to choose and attend either one of the three sessions. Thank god its trial week otherwise, we will have more than 200 Grunts for AWOL.. For the juniors, the platoon will be punished with 10 Grunts per recruits for any recruit that was Absent WithOut Leave or AWOL. At 8:05am, we are still receiving sms'es from those that overslept.

Aching, exhaustion and tiresome that lasted a few days after a good exercise is normal but more pronounced  if we had not been exercising for awhile. My whole body is still aching from a crazy killer pullups at the gym on Sunday. Getting used to the early morning schedule too takes abit of adjustment. After 8 months of training at the Bootcamp, my biological clock adjusted to a 10pm maximum bed-time and I will suffer from a bad 'Jetlag' everytime I had a 'night out'...

We had more from PJ platoon today whom came to support although we had never actually spoken. Such was the spirit of camaraderie displayed under the banner of the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP. We had Joyce Chuo all the way from Subang Jaya, Khiew Pooi Ching from Bukit Gasing, Lee E Shin from somewhere near desa park city, the italian mafia look Rashid the Dragon and his super fit son Nikolas... as well as many other bootcampers that had stopped for more than 7 months, in particular Tammy Koo are back. Despite a somersault-fall yesterday, Tammy still came for the second session... a good determination. Amy Ho & Natassya Lee too came to workout with us.

While waiting for 5:45pm, the instructors had their final briefing... Lans Corporal denoted with (P) are those that have been exposed, trained, prepared and now READY to be assessed by the Founder and Managing Director of ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP INTERNATIONAL, Chief Brabon. Every trainers @ the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP must be certified, assessed and passed by the Chief.

The recruits signed and register with our admins...

Sarge Dann then called on recruits to start the session and of course... tie those shoe laces first..!!

Everybody gathered for the session to start..

While everybody was warming up, I quickly recognized our friends from KL Alpha.. that have been very supportive and encouraging from start in particular John Chua, Ili Liyana Baharon, Lizza Abdul Rahim, Amy Ho & Natassya Lee and Farah Syukor.

I appreciate friends from other platoon because they can give constructive feedback, there are always room for improvement.

They were one late comer and after the warm-up, everybody had to do 10 Grunts...

Sarge Dann then explained the TRANSPORTER circuit (own-created name) and  Corporal Chun, Lans Corporal Nawal, Lans Corporal (P) Hafiz Salleh, Lans Corporal (P) Jasper, Lans Corporal (P) Erni perfectly demonstrated the forms and technique.

Instructors demonstrating the bear walk...

The team was divided into team Alpha and team bravo. Team Alpha with Corporal Chun and Team Bravo with Sarge Dann. The mission was for both team to compete and transport 19 items from Store A to Store B and the loser will have to do Grunts...

Team Alpha ready to compete...

The transporter were faced with various obstacles..... The first stage was just a sprint...

After the sprint, everybody must together performed the pushups.....

Immediately after the pushups, recruits had to performed the Bear Crawl..... The first round was pretty easy,

The bear walk is an important exercise for strength training and total body control. It is a popular exercise for Taekwando and Kungfu as a warm-up exercise that worked out the total body. The bear crawl will train the whole body at once and build it up proportionally in particular the chest and arms. Why? Because although these body parts are quite strong, they are STILL relatively weak compared to the legs.

The Bear Crawl too, worked out the lungs. When the  whole body is moved like a bear, a greater quantities of air is required while breathing like no other exercise. This really builds Lung Power which is important for any sport you might do. A 2 or 3 minutes on the Bear Walk felt the same as if you ran for 20 minutes at a good pace.

After the bear walk to the next stop, everybody had to perform squats.

After the Squat....  its the CRAB CRAWL... (click HERE for the benefits of Crab Crawl)

Lans Corporal (P) Erni motivating and supporting a new recruit to perform the Crab Crawl....

I am very proud to see all the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP @ BANDAR UTAMA instructors are very pro-active and workout together with the recruits to correct their forms, illustrate the perfect technique and especially motivates them.

Lans Corporal Nawal motivating Fatintafrina Mohd Tareh.

Fatin being new to the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP was determined to complete the course giving her 110% best effort.

After the crab crawl, recruits stopped for a squat....

Sarge Dann too whom has been running and supporting recruits performed the exercises together with them.

Lans Corporal (P) Jasper continue to support, motivates and encourages Lizza Abdul Rahim whom was only a few feet away to crossing the Crab-Crawl end-point.

NOBODY SHOULD BE LEFT BEHIND no matter how slow they are... While waiting for others, some had to do endless squat hold.

some had to do one-leg-up-planks while waiting for others.

This reiterates the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP's commitment to train everybody equally irrespective of their level of fitness.

Farah Shukur

But for some, they are 'fitter' than their shoes.....
After successfully TRANSPORTED the mechandise.... Someone screamed VICTORY!!!!!

and someONE just could not believed he is now a qualified TRANSPORTER.. even even counted he merchandised....

and a small whisper said.. "Waaa trial week uses baby tyre wor.. when sign already, the REAL TYRE will appear meh?" I kept my mouth shut...

SomeOne still cant believe he completed the TRANSPORTER circuit...... the ANIMAL way.....

But someone was more concern of the manicure!!!

MY NAILS & PALM!!!

its a small price to pay for a 540 calories burn!!!
Just when they thought the workout for the day ended........ Another kick @ss circuit was introduced...

KLA DELTA AMY HO.......... flying on the grass as Sarge Dann slowly followed her to drive her faster and faster....

The instructors never fail to workout with recruits and motivate them...... and NOBODY can actually cheat without being noticed by the RED-TSHIRT...

After the session, the trainers gathered for a de-briefing.

and as we were packing to go back.........

KL Alpha Super Delta Vivien Luyen Ow arrived....  She mistakenly thought there is a 7am trial.

We are very pleased and happy to see Luyen but would have been happier if she would have joined our manimal transporter session.

Bahariah Bahadom... You did really well today!!

Our loyal KLAlpha friends...

As usual, after a good calories burn, we spend it (again) at the binjai restaurant....... and gained all the calroies back....

Page 2 ended well, I am particularly proud to see everybody gave in their 120% effort.. The instructors and recruits were as passionate as ever in fulfilling their main objective of living a healthy lifestyle...

I was tired too.... being the cameraman for the day!!!  There are alot more pictures that will be posted at the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP @ BANDAR UTAMA FACEBOOK....
