HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

.

Pahamin Rajab became a father 39 years ago when mum gave birth to Chempaka Emalin Pahamin, a year after their wedding on 23 July 1970. 40 years ago!!! Dad raised Chempaka Emalin without any 'Father-Hood' experience but I was lucky, Dad has had 3 years of raising Chempaka Emalin by the time I was born. Less than a year of being pampered by Dad, Melor Edina stole the attention... and later Teratai Edithy Pahamin, Rose Emini Pahamin then Amnan Bazli Pahamin.

DAMANSARA PERDANA - GO GREEN RUN!!!

.

The ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP @ Bandar Utama supports the GO GREEN run organised by MK LAND @ DAMANSARA PERDANA.

In fact, we open up the Original Bootcamp BOOTH at the race. Daing Daniel Fitri, the lead instructor, Ody Lana, Nawal Aini Zulkifli and Rose Emini Pahamin was up as early as 5am to prepare the booth. They brought along Ms TY (tyre), Ms Tee (tali), Ms Sandbabe (sand bag), Ah Tong (Jerry Can) etc etc...

Nawal Aini Zulkifli had burn the midnight oild designing and printing our kick @ss flyers and buntings especially for today!! 1000 flyers were distributed.

ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP MALAYSIA: JUNE 9/12- THE SCRUBS

.
18 June 2010. 700 calories burn & free body scrub!!! Aiiiyaa.. Spilled out the beans... this was suppose to be the end orgasmic statement but was abit impatient. I mean, when was the last time you had your thigh, tummy and the inbetweenies scrubbed? very Kinkilicious..

Sarge Dann, Corporal Chun and LC Nawal were the Reds... and we were group-up for the Rope-Climb-Relay!!! This is exactly why I love the program at the Original Bootcamp (no this is not an advertisement) but this is exactly why it is so addictive!! At every session, there will always be something new!!!

To add up to the excitement, Freda Liu is back after a quiet disappearance to Penang where she carbo-loaded herself for the bootcamp.... or maybe she came to bootcamp to burn the loaded-carbo? We also had a new pretty & single recruit, Michelle.

ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP MALAYSIA: JUNE PAGE 7/12: A SESSION WITH THE MENTOR

14 June 2010... It is customary at the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP to have a Bring-A-Friend (BAF) day on the third Friday of every monthly session. The BAF day is organised for friends of recruits to have a sneak preview or a feel of what the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP is about.

(Do not adjust your computer screen, the few pictures on the left was meant to be 'blur'.. its called the 'paparazzi-skill' (i think))

MENTORING WITH CHIEF BRABON

We attended the second ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP Academy held at Brickfield on 12 June 2010. The session start at 7am sharp. Chief Brabon & Gunny Emily arrived late last night form Sydney Australia to conduct the academy. The first session was held in April last month.

The academy was conducted to train and re-train all ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP instructors and to assess/re-assess their performance and program deliverables.

The academy is compulsory for all instructors and admins personnel. I led my team of 11 instructors and admins from the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP @ BANDAR UTAMA (OBC-BU). Those from OBC-BU were Sarge Dann, Corporal Armin (Head-Operation), Corporal Chun, Corporal Sandy Roberts, Lans Corporal Nawal, Lans Corporal (Admin) Farhanah Bamadhaj, Lans Corporal (P) Jasper Chai, Lans Corporal (P) Erni, Ody Lana (Admin), Dr Malek Aziz (Head-Admin), Rose Emini (Head-Accountant, PR).

ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP MALAYSIA: JUNE PAGE 6/12: G IS TABOO?

11 June 2010. After the warm-up this morning, we escaped the G for AWOL and had a jogging road tour around the BU3/1 road instead.. Someone just could not say out the taboo word G... or the Grunts.  G was popularized by Yam Chan Siu Cheh. The partner of the recently celebrated birthday boy, James Fong.

The platoon was divided into two under Sarge Dann and by Corporal Chun. Sarge Dann was assisted by Lans Corporal (P) Erni and Corporal Chun by Lans Corporal Nawal.

Today was the FRIDAY SPECIALS... especially for those Friday night party-goers to be in short skirts and spaghetti string top.

CHIEF BRABON, FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR, ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP INTERNATIONAL

.

The ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP was founded in 1991 by a former Australian Army Infantry Soldier known as Chief Brabon in the Southern Hemisphere. Chief Brabon as an avid runner, had completed his first marathon when he was 16 years old in 2:56:45 and his first Ultra-marathon when he was 18. Todate, Chief had competed in various events from track runs (800m) to 213km extreme 5 days Ultra-marathon in Military uniforms and combat boots.

ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP MALAYSIA: JUNE PAGE 5/12: LOVE TRIANGLE

.

9 June 2010.. We have all been through the Love Triangle relationship at some point in life either in friendship, romance, familial or pre-existing hatred between rivals and even sexual interactions. Recruits that have never been in any Love Triangle, were forced into one today with the Love Triangle Circuit (name not related to OBC-terms or names).

As the name implied, the love triangle comprised of 3 parties (aka stations) and usually someOne will be left feeling betrayed. However at the bootcamp, a guided polyamory was agreed and supervised by Sarge Dann and assisted by Corporal Chun, Lans Corporal Nawal and Lans Corporal (P) Erni.

There were three guided sets of polyamory in the Love Triangle. Sarge Dann guided the first set for a specific area...

ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP MALAYSIA: JUNE PAGE 4/12: BATTLE WITH ROPES

.

My arms, back & abs were still burning as I woke up this morning from yesterday's crazy 100 assisted pullups, 100 bench-presses and 100 decline situps at the gym. I had my fingers-crossed for some cardio workout at today's fourth June Original Bootcamp @ Bandar Utama session!! but we had more super upper body and abs workout!! SARGE!!! HAVE MERCY!! Next time, maybe should cross the leg instead.

When the Thailand government were battling Thaksin's 'red' supporters and the World against the Zionist regime in Israel whom blocked the aid mission convoy in international waters, we were BATTLING the ROPES in Malaysia field at Bandar Utama.

ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP MALAYSIA: JUNE PAGE 3/12: PRISONERS OF WAR/POW RACE

.

4 JUNE 2010. The circuits prepared at the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP @ Bandar Utama (OBC-BU) targets at least a 500 calories burn for men and 400 for women DURING the 1 HOUR exercise. Through the Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOX), the body will continue to burn more calories throughout the day. The circuits at the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP is a cutting edge Metabolic Conditioning program that has been scientifically designed for ordinary people to achieve extra-ordinary result... the most sought after result is of course, fat burn, toning and athletic improvement.

To achieve at least 500 calories burn, OBC-BU core instructors actually performed the circuit before prescribing it to the recruits. All of OBC-BU instructors are fanatical with their own performances having a 'built-in' passion in more than one sporting-activities. Me.. being a recruit, and alongside other recruits with 'calories-counter' will verify those supposedly 500 calories burn!!! Freak? ...Mad?? yaaa.. Its good to be surrounded by people that share the same 'mad-passion'.... and its good to learn there is a PROGRAM designed for ordinary people to be mad... and get mad result.

PROTON 4U DAY... AT PROTON EDAR @ PUTRAJAYA

.

5 June 2010, it is Proton For You Day.. or weekend rather, at  PROTON EDAR at PUTRAJAYA.  Proton 4 U Day/Weekend is a customer's appreciation weekend. We are grateful towards the support that was given to Proton since establishment for already 25 years and hope to gauge a clearer and closer understanding of what Malaysian needs.

ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP MALAYSIA: JUNE, PAGE 2/12: THE GRINDERS & LIZZA ABDUL RAHIM

.
2 June 2010. Being a paparazzi the whole of last week during the trial week had taken a toll in my training consistency. This was exactly why we at KLA started the 100% ACE (Attendance, Commitment and effort). To avoid any lost in momentum and stamina if any sessions were missed but even with the consistency, it has been awhile since I had a good workout... maybe burned out... or perhaps had plateau in training.

We had a roll call and the warm up began at 5:45am sharp. As if the warm-up was not enough, the 5 sets of 30 seconds squat pulses for 5 AWOLS made us warmer.... and the additional 10 Grunts for late-comers boiled us hot. It was the first taste of squat pulses & Grunts to many new recruits.

THE "NEW" BOOTCAMP AT PADANG MERBUK & PADANG ASTAKA

.

While in Singapore over the weekend, I received endless email and updates on 'Bootcamp' latest controversy. Since I blogged and posted the Official Statement from Chief Brabon, the Founder and Managing Director of the Original Bootcamp Australia, I feel it will be unjust if I do not publish and comment on the Official Statement from Selva Kumar, the "BULLDOG LOGO ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP, Since 1991" former licensee for Padang Merbuk and Padang Astaka. We should always base our judgement on explicit facts and details rather than on hearsay, assumptions and rumours.

The summary of Selva Kumar's Official Statement is as follows:

ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP MALAYSIA: JUNE-PG1/12: BENCHMARK ASSESSMENT

.

The first session of every month at the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP is always the BENCHMARK ASSESSMENT. This BENCHMARK ASSESSMENT is important for the instructor to gauge the recruits physical ability in strength, muscular endurance, stamina, agility and speed. With the Benchmark Assessment too, the instructors will also have a better insight in the recruits ability to go beyond the physical fatigue.

This is important for the instructors to categories the recruits unto their respective rank, eg, Delta, Seals and Rangers according to their benchmark timing. The benchmark timing is not the only factor used in categorising recruits but the characteristics of competitiveness or KIASU-ness of the recruits too will determine their category. Recrutis whom are less Kiasu.. requires more team-work effort and motivation. These factors are important to ensure the gains of every recruits are at the optimal.

ONE NIGHT IN SINGAPORE.. SUNDOWN MARATHON.

.

It was a spontaneous and unplanned decision to take a drive to Singapore for the ADIDAS SUNDOWN MARATHON and support more than half a dozen of our fellow Bootcampers whom are running the race. I ran the 84km Singapore Sundown Ultra-marathon when it was first launched 2 years ago but managed to only complete 56km. I completed the balance 28km (to make it a total of 84km) in 3 instalments (10km per instalment & extra 2km for instalment interest) within a month after the actual race ... (See: My Xtreme). but try not to be like me....

BU-OBC: TW 3/3 THE GRAND FINALE

29 May 2010. The finale.... Last session of the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP @ Bandar Utama (OBC-BU) first trial week.

There were three selected circuits prepared for the last session of the trial week. The first circuit introduces OBC-BU's very own jaw dropping sexy Sand-babe, I mean Sandbag.

Sarge Dann, Corporal Chun, LC Nawal, LC Hafiz Salleh, LC Jasper and LC Erni were the team of instructors supervising the 41 recruits. We had the Malaysian Actor whom once won the best actor award cum Architect Azhar Sulaiman and National Gymnast, Hairi Zaid Ahmad Saruji training with us. Hairi Zaid came to train with 41 recruits at the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP @ Bandar utama as part of his training for the Commonwealth Games.

Hairi Zaid is Malaysia national men gymnast artistic. He was selected into the National Gymnast Pelapis Team in 2003 and is competing in the next Commonwealth Games.

Last Year in 2009, Hairi Zaid won 3 GOLD medal and 3 Bronze during the Malaysia Open, 2 GOLD and 2 Bronze for the South Africa Cup and 3 Bronze Medal during the mini Olympic Games.

WHAT HAPPEN TO OBC AT PADANG MERBUK & PADANG ASTAKA ?

.

I had just received an "OFFICIAL STATEMENT" via an email from the Managing Director of the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP INTERNATIONAL, CHIEF BRABON whom 20 years ago, founded the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP authorised network that offered the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP PROGRAM as services. It was a long email that is attached at the bottom of this blog article.

Being a new license operator for the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP @ Bandar Utama, I was shocked to receive the Official Statement email addressed to all current & past recruits and instructors.

The summary of the OFFICIAL STATEMENT is as follows;

ERNI SYAZWAMI AZMAN (LANCE CORPORAL (P) @ ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP @ BANDAR UTAMA

For Instructors Ranking eg. Sarge, Corporal, Lance Corporal, see: OBC-RANKING)

ERNI SYAZWANI AZMAN, also known as Lance Corporal Erni or LC Erni at the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP is a Lance Corporal in Probation that had underwent more than a month of six days a week daily training to familiarise herself with the Original Bootcamp forms & technique, Culture, Terminology and Training Style. LC Erni holds a 3rd Dan World Taekwando Federation Black Belt and a Taekwando Sports Specific Coaching Certificate from the Malaysia Taekwando Federation. LC Erni also hold a Sports Science Coaching Certificate from the National Sports Council.

BU-OBC: TW 2/3- MANIMALS....

.
27 May 2010, a herd of Manimals were spotted at Bandar Utama at 5:45am this morning. A witness claimed the group of people suddenly transformed into monkey, bear and crab and apparently clearing the football field from dozens of unwanted 'merchandise'... reported Armin News Network (ANN). Upon further investigation, the manimals were actually a group of people whom shared similar goal to be healthy, fitter and sexier... the manimal way.

Such will be the circuits pre-prepared for the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP @ Bandar Utama... It varies from a variety types of animal movements (see: animal workout) to human forms and endless of other carefully designed circuits but with the same objective of targeting specific muscle group, fat burn and cardio gains.

ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP @ BANDAR UTAMA SARGE DANN

ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP tm @ Bandar utama platoon commander Sarge Dann or his real name Daing Daniel Fitri had just passed his 5th Dan Black Belt assessment last month in April 2010 and is also a Taekwando instructor since 2002. Daing Daniel passed the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP assessment and promoted to a Sarge on 3 May 2010 (see: OBC Ranking). Daing Daniel obtained his Bachelor in Sports Science degree from the University Malaya and is currently pursuing his Masters in Sports Science specialising in Sports biomechanics, Coaching and strength training. Daing Daniel is also the Coach for University Malaya Taekwando team and National University Sports Council (MASUM).

BU-OBC: THE FIRST PAGE........... TRIAL WEEK TW 1/3

.

25 May 2010. The first Page of a new chapter. We were all nervous, excited and anxious to start our first trial week. We wanted it to be perfect. We have been practicing and rehearsing daily for the whole month digesting all that we learn at the Bootcamp Academy for today. We vetted through the whole registration and there were only 19 listed members whom had previously attended the Original Bootcamp session. From the total, 53 registered were all newbies to the Original Bootcamp. The initial circuit designed for today was too strenuous to those that had never exercise before. The circuit was mellowed  to make it slightly easier, fun and with an initial target calories burn of at least 300 during the session and continuously burning after session through the EPOC (Excessive Post-Ecercise Oxygen Consumption) effect.

Every circuit was scientifically designed for the best gain via the mentoring program that was made available to all franchisee based from over 20 years of experience... but, every session is 'like a box of chocolate'... said Forest Gump, we dont know what we going to get.

KL ALPHA..THE CLOSING OF A CHAPTER

.

21 MAY 2010 Friday, Padang Merbuk. We were awake even before the alarm clock screamed. After 8 months of waking up at 4:30am daily, our biological clock had accustomed to the early morning wake-up call. Nawal Aini Zulkifli, Rose Emini Pahamin and I cruised slowly to padang merbuk at only 140km per hour. We were excited to graduate with honours on another month of ACE. I was absent for the first time with a sprained ankle but had it replaced with the instructors training at bandar Utama which had been ongoing for the whole month in May.

We arrived 10 minutes before the session start and I quietly went for the last piss-in the bushes.. A moment I can only enjoy at KL Alpha, Padang Merbuk. To be honest, that was the first time in 20 years... since I last 'pissed' in public!! Okaaay.. maybe I dont need to be so honest but it did feel good... doing 'it' in the open .At OBC-Bandar Utama, I have to settle for the boring conventional public toilet. Why cant we all be 'green'.

LACTATE TRANSITION AND VO2 MAX TEST

.

7 May 2010, University Malaya. Its been a week since we received the approval for the Original Bootcamp franchise in Bandar Utama. To ensure Original Bootcamp @ Bandar Utama key personnel and team qualifies in stamina and fitness to be an instructor, we brought the whole team (including the admins) to the Department of Exercise Physiology, Sports Centre, University Malaya.

We arrived at the Physiology Lab after the Friday Bootcamp session.

Upon entering the lab, we were amazed at the computers and equipments the lab was equipped. Although we were excited with the assessment but we were also nervous. Except for the Original Bootcamp-Bandar Utama Sarge Daing Daniel Fitri, non of us was ever assessed by computers in a real sports laboratory.

COUNT DOWN FOR THE ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP @ BANDAR UTAMA

.
Since Bandar Utama was given the approval as an Original Bootcamp franchise on 27 April 2010 (known as OBC-BU), Sarge Dann has been busy training the instructors and be trained. Trainers at the Original Bootcamp must be better and fitter than all the recruits. The recruits usually comprised of a good mix of athlete whom seek to improve their performance and couch potatoes whom had never exercise before. At the Original Bootcamp, the instructors led by example and train together with the recruits instead of the conventional old fashion ways of only bossing people what to do...

For the whole month in May, on non-OBC days,  the trainers met three times a week to perfected their forms and techniques.

We learn the correct form and techniques from Chief Brabon during the Original Bootcamp Academy. There, we learn so many different forms and technique that we had to digest it slowly via our own instructors training. More often, we discounted and/or compromised our forms and techniques during training which is not acceptable to any Original Bootcamp instructors.

THE LAST WEEK AT KL ALPHA ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP, PADANG MERBUK

.
17 May 2010. Its the last week of my Eight Month training at the Original Bootcamp KL Alpha. This will also be my last month at KL Alpha. After 8 good months of consistent training, it feels so hard to leave my fellow KL Alpha comrades especially after all the sweats, screaming and struggles.... we saw how everyone had improved.

We saw how Vivien Luyen Ow rise from her own demotion to Seal back to Delta and now leaving to GREECE to participate in a full marathon... 'international marathonas' representing MALAYSIA!!  The quiet Ima Mohamed on her first month became the most talk-in-pain recruit. Shobha Bala from an FFK princess to anti-FFK cum ACER and now back to her FFK-Queen. The most SSJ comedian Chun Chia kai whom lost 8kg at the bootcamp and now a serious Red-Tshirt instructor. Aisan Lim from a Seal to a Delta and broke her running-virgin into now a running-addict. Wai-yee Chan a quiet Seal Pilates instructor and now one of the strongest Delta. Lizza Abdul Rahim whom could not finished her benchmark and now a stronger Ranger. The shy BFF Kenix Lim & Leesa Tan whom always shy away and now an fitness-idol to many ladies. Super Delta Tomi Soetjipto whom quietly ACE his present at Bootcamp and the most 'picked' at by Shobha Bala. Natassya Lee whom improved her circuit benchmark timing by more than 5 minutes since her first assessment. One minute improvement was great.. FIVE minutes is excellent!! but now she went back AWOL for a mont!! Rienna Choo & Amy Ho whom had improved their stamina and were confident enough to participate in running events!! Suloshini Jahanath speaks more on facebook but was very quiet on the field unless provoked!! The determination of Eva Wong whom after 4 months, manage to complete her benchmark timing on time!! That is a huge achievement. John Chuah whom almost freak out on his first day but now insist on a super-abs after every session!! There are Wong Siew Peng, Yushiza Yusof, Bruce, Yin Biing Wen, Jessie, Suzy, Elona, Miki Ming Chee Ong, Azima Pandian, Syuhada Adnan, Syazana Amran, Arnaud Marolleau, Ee-Lyn Tan, Layar Lara, Farrah Vivien Raguet, Kay Hassan, Masita, Lilian Lim, Racheal Orleans, Nikki Harris, Roopi Rampal @ Saroop, Rozaida Affendi, Shaliza Suhaimi, Suriana Saiful, Syed Mahadzir Syed Manshor, Tricia Especkerman,  There are so much to speak and so much to write about so many inspiring and passionate people at KLA and one day......... I will blog just that!!! MY PASSIONATE AND INSPIRING FRIENDS.

OBC- MAY- 5/12: DENSITY TRAINING

.
No AWOL!! KLA legacy is back!!! Once, the max AWOL @ KLA was only 2 and mostly without any AWOLs...  but the last session it went up to as many as 10 AWOL. We all missed the Grunts, Squat pulses the run around the park etc... and no extra and additional calories burn today.

Without any punishments, the workout today was a kick @ss, all the energy was centred and focussed in forms and techniques. One sure thing @ the bootcamp, circuits were never repeated and today's workout was... the best!! ..as always!!!!

We had the DENSITY TRAINING which was combi remix of abs, legs, shoulder, core muscles and cardio in 3 well-prepared circuit. The OBJECTIVE was to complete as MANY ROUNDS OF SUPERSETS WITHIN THE GIVEN TIME of 10 minutes for Delta, 9 Minutes for Seals and 8 minutes for the Ranger. The SUPERSET comprised of 2 exercise each for three circuits with each exercise bearing a 10 repetition for Delta, 9 repetition for Seals and 8 Repetition for the Ranger.

PEDA APOLOGIZES TO PROTON BUYER FOR THE MINOR GLITCHES IN DELIVERIES

.

Beginning on 1 April 2010, Proton Edar had adopted and implemented a new system that should enhance and benchmark Proton delivery qualities as well as STANDARDIZE the quality of Proton cars to be delivered to customers. Previous to the new system, dealers and showrooms PDI-ed (Pre-Delivery Inspection) the vehicles individually and there were no standard delivery quality of Proton Cars.

The new system, will enhanced and standardized the quality of vehicles to be delivered to the customer. However, there were some minor glitches that had caused some delay in the vehicle deliveries coupled by the unstable e-daftar and e-kastam online payment.

Although these are beyond the dealers, PEDA apologized for any inconveniences to the affected Proton buyer. Rest assure, counter-measures has been taken to rectify the delay.

CONGRATULATION TO ALL INSTRUCTORS @ ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP BANDAR UTAMA

.
After graduating from Level 1, Military Fitness Leader Certification @ the Original Bootcamp Academy, the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP @ BANDAR UTAMA instructors were certified with the following ranking:

BOOTCAMP INSTRUCTORS RANKING

NOTE: The ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP™ ranks held by our Instructors in no way reflect the ranks that those individuals may currently hold, or have previously held in any arm of the military, law enforcement or fire/rescue. They are purely ranks that they have earned in relation to the provision of the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP™ program.
Here is a brief write-up to further understand the instructors ranking at the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP...
LANCE CORPORAL - Lance Corporals are essentially apprentices, who are still learning the ropes and perfecting forms and techniques. It may be that they are still undertaking additional studies to become a fully qualified Instructor.

OBC-MAY 4/12: FUNTABULOUS CARDIO RUN

.

3 May 2010. Its the fourth session today with 10 AWOLS...!! TEN AWOLS.. cool!! There were Amy Ho, Danial Ismail, Syed Mahadzir Syed Mashor and many many more.......

Thankful to the 10 AWOLs, we had 5 laps-around-carpark & 50 Trusters... FIFTY TRUSTERS!!!...

I completed the run but completed the 50 trusters in 2 instalments. First installment with 38 trusters during the session sort of 'hutang' the balance and did 12 trusters as second instalment back home. (Note: Err.. Instalment is not allowed, if you are caught, the whole platoon will be punished.. Again!!)

The placement of recruits were announced today.. Shoba Bala made it back to Delta alongside 10 others namely, Amy Ho, Nawal AIini Zulkifli, Machiko san, Tomi Soetjipto, Yin Biing Wen, Chun Chia Kai (but of course), Wai-Yee Chan, Ashima Thomas, Syed Mahadzir Syed Manshor and a new Delta Jessie.

THE BOMBA-LYCIOUS RACE

.

2 MAY 2010. We had a good carbo loading at Wau Penyu, Solaris before leaving to Ampang for Aaraf's Taekwando class. Ili Liyana Baharon had the most load.. She had Nasi Lemak for breakfast, Curry Fish head for lunch, a feast at Ara Damansara and dinner at Wau Penyu. Equally loaded was Nawal Aini Zulkifli whom first had her breakfast at 6:30am, steak at Colliseum etc etc and ended up with Nasi Kerabu at Wau Penyu.

BOOTCAMP-TERMS & JARGONS

.

When I first joined the Original Bootcamp in October 2009, I was confused. While happily doing to the pushup during one of the circuit train, Sarge Sim commanded STEADY!!!! ... huh, proudly I thought he was complimenting how steady my forms were. I pushed myself and wanted to show a better form. Then I heard a command IN-POSITION.. 3, 2, 1..... I was still doing the push-up... and my muscle was already screaming!!!

Whenever you hear the word STEADY!!! it means STOP !!

and everytime the word IN-POSITION was called.. it means... GET READY!!!

Unbeknown that I was supposed to stop on the scream STEADY, I continued with the pushups without any break and stopped when my muscles were too exerted before any STEADY screamed. As a result, the platoon was punished with 10 Grunts. It is imperative for every recruits to understand a command or references on jargons.

OBC-MAY 2/12: THE CAGE PART 2

.

28 April 2010. Its the CAGE!!!!! On second session in May Bootcamp!!! The last session with the cage was on 7 April 2010 (see: Cage). We never expected to have the Cage so soon but today was all about the Cage!

Today was extra special, we had the Cage, the mud, flooded field and a Cardio punishment for AWOLS. There were 6 AWOLs.. but I can only recall 5; namely Vivien Luyen Ow, Ilyanna Ayob, Syazana Amran, Amy Ho and Danial Ismail. For that, we had 3 laps of run-around-the-carpark and 30 TRUSTERS as a punishment. It was an excellent but exhaustive cardio punishment.

There were Sarge Sim, Corporal Sarge Faizal Ariff Abdullah and Lans Corporal Hafiz Omar supervising us with the Cage. Unlike the previous Cage-Session, there were no Strap today but it was equally as masochist.

THE ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP @ BANDAR UTAMA

BANDAR UTAMA

OBC-APR 12/12: FRIENDS THAT GREW INTO PARTNERSHIP

.

Saturday 24 April 2010. I missed two sessions at KL Alpha when I had to attend the Allianz Conference in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah but I had one session replaced at KL Charlie. I was suppose to attend another session at KL Charlie today but I did not..... What would be more important than to break my 7 full months of perfect and consistent attendance for fitness and health?

I missed that last  session to learn and understand why the Bootcamp is the best place to surrender and gained stamina, strength and speed in athlete performance or lost fat and gain lean physique for others. I attended the personalised Malaysia Bootcamp Academy which was equivalent to more than the 1 session missed at KL Alpha (so... ACE council... spare me the punishment... can?).

THE ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP MALAYSIA IS EXPANDING!!!

UPDATES: Please click HERE for the latest update on the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP locations & maps.

*******************************************************************************

When I first joined the Bootcamp, there were only 2 training locations available. One at Padang Merbuk in Kuala Lumpur and the other location is at Padang Astaka, Petaling Jaya. I chose to train at Padang Merbuk because of logistic and Padang Merbuk's reputation for being a 'hardcore' and the damn serious bunch.

COMPANIES COMMISSION MALAYSIA / SURUHANJAYA SYARIKAT MALAYSIA

.

22 April 2010, Kuala Lumpur. This morning, for the first I visited the Companies Commission Malaysia (CCM) (Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia) to learn how to incorporate an Enterprise. I took the initiative to have a first hand experience to train and educate my Fasfik Supervisors in setting-up their first business (an enterprise) to be an entrepreneur. Those qualified Supervisors were offered to be an Authorised Operator of Fasfik's outlets that is already establish, equip with the necessary equipments and ready for business without any renovation cost and any capital outlay to buy equipments. For the supervisor to operate Fasfik outlets, Fasfik will sign agreement with the Supervisors whom were required to set-up an 'enterprise'.

I reached the CCM at KL Sentral 9:20am and at the ground floor (level 1), the reception gave me a PNA 42 form  to obtain CCM's approval for the business Trade-Name. Applicants do not need to seek CCM's approval if the business is registered under the applicant's own name as per the Identity Card.

OBC-APR 10/12: ITS NOT JUST ABOUT RUNNING..

.

Its coming to the end of April bootcamp session. Its amazing how fast time flies. In less than a week, I would have exercised @ the bootcamp, constant and consistently for 7 months.

Although it will be 7 months soon... The sessions at the bootcamp is as intense as ever. The circuit and exercise programs prepared for every session is carefully planned and organised... All I have to do, is to wake-up early, drive and surrender myself to the program. The stamina and physique will slowly and naturally developed.

Having attended 76 bootcamp sessions thusfar..... I am very pleased with all the circuit programs prepared and I am very dependant on Sarge Simran's method of instructing.... Somehow, he can reach out to bring the best out of any recruit.

RAIQA HANIM JASMIN'S 4TH BIRTHDAY BASH

.

Aaraf Armin received an invitation for his cousin's Birthday party a week ago that reads...

ALLIANZ FRANCHISE CONVENTION 2010

.

14 April 2010, Allianz held its annual Franchise Convention at the Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Abu Lais Walli Mohamed and Jeff Lim Si Heong left for KLIA with me at 7:30am to fly to Kota Kinabalu on an all-expenses paid by Allianz.

We arrived at the airport at 8:15am for an Expected Time of Departure (ETD) 9:20am. Upon checking-in, we quickly had a fillet of fish at the Mc Donald.

OBC- APR 8/12: DROPPING DEAD @ KL CHARLIE

.

17 April 2010. Since I've join the Bootcamp in October last year, I have successfully attended every session at KL Alpha every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5:45am to 6:45am. I have never been late too and I am sad to break my 7 months record when I missed two sessions last Wednesday 14 April and Friday 16 April to attend the Allianz Franchise convention at Kota Kinabalu. Under the ACE-pact, if I failed to attend all twelve sessions in a month, the ACE-council will dress me in any outfit they deemed fit!! With Shobha Bala DBK, Luyen Ow and others in the house... It spells Nightmare to me!!!

Thus, to avoid any extra trouble and unnecessary sleepless night for these people, I went to KL CHARLIE to replace and redeemed my two days absenteeism.

Sessions at KL CHARLIE are held every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 5:45am to 6:45am... I went for the session on Saturday, 17 April 2010 together with Nawal Aini Zulkifli, Lizza Abdul Rahim and Farrah Ibrahim. The Saturday was the BAF (Bring A Friend) Day.

Corporal Faizal Ariff was the leading instructor assisted by Lans Corporal SARAH STONE!! There were barely 20 recruits at KL Charlie with almost an equivalent number of friends. Everybody brought along their spouse, boyfriends, girlfriends and probably mistresses and mastresses.. Except for mattress though I am sure many would want to.

Everybody at KL Charlie are small and petite.. Almost fat-less AND with only 2 guys including me and excluding the friends they brought. There were so many AWOLS but there were no grunts rewarded/punished... Which was very unlike Corporal Faizal... Perhaps he is only strict and stern with KL Alpha. We met Juliza, Catherine and a few more whose names slipped off my mind.

After the warm-up.... We gathered at the field.... The platoon were divided into their respective rank with the Rangers, Seal-Guns and Seals-Rifle....... Seals-Guns and Seal-Rifle????? I just parked myself at the Seal per se not being able to differentiate the Seal-Guns and Seal-Rifle...

I saw Madam Tee (BIG FAT MOTHER OF ALL ROPE) comfortably lying down in the middle of the field. The platoon were divided into team Alpha and Team Bravo with a good mixture of Friends, Rangers, Seal-Guns and Seal Rifle.

Team Alpha VS Team Bravo

Both team have their own circuit which was similar in distance, exercise and workout. The team that lost the race must perform 10 Grunts.

Both team were further split into two with one team place at one rugby goal post (Alpha 1, Bravo 1) and another team at the other rugby Goal post end (Alpa 2, Bravo 2).

THE ROPE CIRCUIT RELAY

The circuit was divided into three parts.

Part-1: Part 1 is the starting point. The starting point was marked with a Double-Cone and there were 6 single cones; 3 single cones on the left and 3 single cones on the right with a distance approximately 5 meters apart from each other. At the end, there was another double-cone.

The race requires one recruit (from Alpha-1 and Bravo-1) to sprint and 'Drop-dead' at every Single-Cone... meaning, the recruits on the move must drop-dead 6 times before reaching the last Double-Cone. I was the first to start.
Drop-dead position

Part-2: At the 2nd Double-Cone, I lifted and drag Madam Tee across the end of the other rugby Goal Post. Dragging Madam Tee was tough!!! the circumference of the rope was bigger than my calve. I lifted Madam Tee on my shoulder with both hand and sprint across the field to reach the first Double-Cone. I dropped Madam Tee when I saw the first Double-Cone.

Part-3: Once I drop Madam Tee, I ran to the first Single-Cone and drop dead. I got-up, sprint to the 2nd Single-Cone and dropped dead again... and again until the 6th Single-Cone and saw the 2nd Double-Cone where I crossed and tapped the shoulder of the first recruit at Alpha-2.

While the recruits on-the-move continuously dropping dead, dragged Mdm Tee and then drop dead again for another 6 times, all other recruits in-waiting must perform deep squat and military push-ups.

I could not remember if we won or lose the race........ but I remember doing the Grunts... meaning we lost?

It was a fantastic and fabulous workout!!! I burn a total 705 Calories though I did felt dead. Thusfar, today was the highest calories burn for the month.

Tomorrow I am back at KL Alpha........!!! Its time to make noise again....... KL Charlie was too quiet.

HOOOOOYAAAAH!!!!

PROTON EDAR 2010 DEALERS CONVENTION & PEDA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2010

12 APRIL 2010, One World Hotel. Proton Edar held its annual dealer's convention attended to by all Proton Edar dealers and sales branches throughout Malaysia (including East Malaysia). Guests arrived as early as 7am to avoid the morning horrendous traffic.

The Convention began with Proton Managing Director Yg Bhg Dato Syed Zainal Abidin's opening remark.. It was too long to be called a speech. When Dato Syed Zainal first came to Proton, Dato Syed called upon all dealers and stake-holders to support him. Dato Syed inherited a legacy of endless flaw with more than 40,000 units of unsold ex-stocks despite at least RM3000 overtrade/bulk discount per car thrown to the market.

Last year, Proton's sales increased by more than 10,000 units despite the recession. For the first time in my 13 years as a dealer, there were no car-dumping to dealers when Proton Edar Financial Year ended end of last month. So if anybody were to ask me how Proton performs? I will ask them to interpret that statement themselves.

During the convention and still very humble Dato Syed Zainal admitted Proton is far from where we should be and further plead to all dealers and everybody in the network to stand united against any complacency. Although Dato' Syed Zainal spoke for more than half an hour........ other messages have to be censored! But we are proud that Dato Syed Zainal is still humble, pro-active and open for any productive criticism as well as approachable. Dato Syed Zainal was very passionate and inspirational. PEDA and our network will strongly stand united with Proton and against any obstacles.

After the opening remark by Dato Syed Zainal, En Mohamad Shukor Ibrahim, Proton Edar Chief Executive Officer presented Proton Edar's current sales strategy and the direction forward. Again, I could not elaborate due to some confidentiality but Shukor's opening speech was an eye opener.

There were three other speakers by Kamsani Ahmad, Zahari Hussein and a German quality director. All details were sensitive but rest assure, Malaysia is in for a head-turning event.

The last speaker was Abdul Sidik Hamid, Proton Edar General Manager for Sales. Sidik.. sort of Proton's version of Obama first made us laugh with some jokes then suddenly... sort of having PMS, he started scolding us!! very typical of a Mamak but having walked his talk and rid the ocean pool of ex-stocks (without any discounting) when he first came to Proton Edar, whatever that he says did ended-up with good results. Of course, as per other details........ we cannot divulge any information of what transpired.

There were no entertainment, No music, no dancing, no jumping, no free T'shirt, no free cap and no complimentary gift except for one RM2 Proton PEN.. as in pen that we use to write.

Once, dealers convention was all about appreciating the dealers with some joget, dancing and stand-up comedian but now, dealers convention was all about speeches and scolding. Once, Dealers convention was all marketing and branding Proton with Proton Tshirts, caps, business card holders etc.... now we get RM2 pen which we seldom use with the advancement of Blackberry, Internet and computers.

After lunch, it was time for PEDA 11th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING..

PEDA Vice-President Abu Lais and Secretary General Jeff Lim Si Heong took the registration of attendance to ensure sufficient quorum for the AGM to convene. The quorum was more than enough and our meeting convened.

PEDA committee members. from left: Mr SB Siaw, Malkeet Singh, Fadzil, Adam Khan Omar Khan (Hon Treasurer), Lee Lick Sai (Vice-President), Jeff Lim Si Heong (Secretary General), Armin Baniaz Pahamin (President), Dato Yahya Jaafar (Deputy President),  Abu Lais Walli Mohamed (Vice-President), Jafry Samaaf, Mohd Jasmin Ismail, Fathul Rahman.

After all the speeches by other speakers........... it was time for my speech as PEDA President. When I was the Deputy President, I receive many complains from the dealers when the president then spoke in English... Some were very blunt that PEDA as an association that gathered all the dealers in Malaysia should be more member-friendly and converse in our mother tongue language Bahasa Malaysia. Now that I am the President, I have to listen to members demand.. and the whole week was spent translating and rehearsing my English speech into bahasa malaysia. Being a kelantanese that seldom converse in proper Bahasa Malaysia .. I have to also learn the correct pronunciation of certain words.

My speech is very important and I wanted everybody to understand and of course.. I cannot divulge whatever that was said here.

Despite not having any entertainment and a whole day of speeches and speeches. The convention ended with a strong message... PEDA AGM ended with an amendments to the Constitution that adopted Internal-Online-Web www.proton-dealers.com as a formal form of communication between members.

Now.............. let us stand united and strong to make Proton, Malaysia's No 1 choice!!
