PROCLAMATION TO EXPOSE INTELLECTUAL DENSENESS

There are many who opposes the Malay Proclamation and that is quite common when it is from ordinary citizen, being oblivious of the surrounding. However, coming from an academician to accuse the Malay Proclamation as bigotry and racialism as what Sharifah Munirah Alatas wrote at here is something that probably denies her of the self-written academician title in her short bio. Did she even read and understood the Malay Proclamation? 

The truth is, Sharifah Munirah and some upper class Malays have been living in their own cocoon isolated from the reality of the mass. The increasing numbers of Malay poverty is real. The Malays are the biggest contributor to the rising numbers of sosial issues such as drug abuse and let us not forget the highest numbers of unemployed are also the Malays. The percentage of Malay graduates is also alarming. The Malay Proclamation is to addressed issues related to the Malays and to create awareness for the Malays to unite and find a solution before it reaches the point of detriment, another May 13th riot.

The root caused of 13 May riot was the huge wealth and income disparity between the Malay and Chinese. Currently, with the Malay reserve land deteriorating and is now at 13%, Bumiputera equity at 17% and the loud outcry for help by the Malays on social media to the extend of  demanding for EPF withdrawal to survive (on the backdrop of rising cost of living), the Malays are in crisis. There is no calm after the last poll contrary to what Sharifah Munirah claims. 

The media are referring the current government as a Unity Government probably under instructions but for an intellectual academician to recognise it a Unity Government when it is not, is in some form an insult. Unity government is when all political parties unite to form a government. We know for a fact the second biggest coalition with 74 parliaments is still an opposition. 

Shamsul Akmar articulately corrected Sharifah Munirah dishonest representation calling for a 'Malaysian Proclamation' at HERE but I do not quite agree with Shamsul that we do not need a Proclamation to expose intellectual dishonest given the rising birth of profesor kangkung or in this case Academician Kangkung :)
