A PREVIEW OF SEOUL'S BIGGEST AQUARIUM AT THE LOTTE WORLD

We've been to the Kuala Lumpur Aquarium, Bangkok Aquarium and a few other aquariums around the world and we visited the Lotte World Aquarium this morning. Aarya and Ibrahim had a fantastic time at the Lotte World Aquarium with the variety of fish species; some are gorgeous but some do look horrific. These aquarium view is the closest I can get to the real diving experience because I am not a great fan of diving. This is Episode 11 and the last 2 episode before the end of our South Korea Trip. After this South Korea series, we will be vloggin on our recent trip to Bangkok. THE BEST LOBSTER AT MYEONGDONG STREET FOOD AT MYEONDONG NIGHT MARKET.

Guys!! Thank you for subscribing! I made it to Youtube #1kCreator! (Its so damn hard to grow subs) and could not have done it without you. It's a small milestone to start the day. I appreciate all your subscriptions and is committed to my promise for good quality and new content every week (maybe more). One of the must visit place in Seoul is the Myeongdong Market that is packed with endless stretched of departmental stores, malls and retailers for the shoppers. I am not the shopping type and our family were separated taking their path on own interest. Some dine at the restaurants and some went shopping. There are also endless restaurants and cafes, as well as the latest skin care and cosmetic items with over 1000 korean brands the likes of Nature Republic, Etude House, The face shop, Missha and SKinfood. Leave all the shopping aside, I am more interested with the market.. the street food!!! The place (Myeongdong) is always crowded of people from all walks of life and every step on the street smells of food!! Different aroma at every few steps with different menu on sale. I am salivating at the thought of freshly baked or freshly cook street seafood!! Oyster Scallops, Octopus, Crab to name a few. I am not exactly sure I what I had is a Korea-specific menu but i just had to have it. This is Episode 10 of our South Korea Trip. THE MAKING OF KOREAN GIMBAB. WE LEARN, WE MADE AND WE ATE. Amazing how South Korea made it compulsory for their travel agent to bring tourists to learn their local food. I wonder what local food our Tourist Ministry had our tourist to learn.

One of the best activity we did in Seoul was to learn the making of the famous korean Gimbab. I've had this menu multiple times in the past but have never appreciate it as much as I do now. There were 2 activities that is almost compulsory for all travel agent to organised for tourist in South Korea and the-making-of-gimbab was one of them (and I'm glad they brought us) (I heard there are options either the Gimbab or Kimchi and some other made-in Korea menu). The other was the Korean Ginseng house. Somehow, all tourists must be introduced to this two activities so they can learn the products and culture of Koreans. The korean Ginseng was insanely good plus out-of-the-pocket budget but if anyone have any extra money to spend... spend it on Korean Ginseng. This is Episode 9 of our South Korea Trip. ENTERTAINMENT @ HONGDEA STREET, SOUTH KOREA EPISODE 7

My only regret was not being able to share (without being flagged for copyright claim by Youtube) with you the beautiful voices of this 2 Korean student duet who sang Perfect by Ed Shereen. They both practically hypnotised the crowded (me included) with their singing. The whole clan went to Hongdea Street but we were separated when all others went shopping. I was more interested to enjoy the performance by the students. I feel these students are so talented gifted. Hongdea Street provides them the best opportunity to practice their performance and polished their skills. If I was staying in Seoul, I will be a regular visitor at this place. Anyone going to Seoul, should and must have Hongdea Street as a must plae to visit. Of course if you enjoy street performance. I only wish Kuala Lumpur have such a place for our talented students. Modelling at the Gyeungbokgung Palace; the most beautiful and the largest of the five grand palaces. Episode 6

A visit at the Gyeungbokgung Palace or at any palace wont be complete without an experience guide. There are so much history and story behind every palace that an experience guide can share. Visiting a palace without a guide wont be so interesting as we would not know what lies behind those walls. We were lucky to get an experience guide whom shared with us amazing story of the palace. If only we were there during a less cold season, we would have enjoyed the walk around the palace even more. The Palace is so beautiful and it should be on your list of visit if you are in Seoul. NAMSAN TOWER ~ SEOUL TOWER. REMINISCING ON THE DAY I PROPOSED. EPISODE 5

I have a weak heart for a breathtaking scenery especially if its on top of a mountain or the view of a sunset at the beach. Equally as powerful an effect is the scenery at a tall tower. While everybody have their own story and feeling experiencing the spectacular view at The Namsan Tower or the N Seoul Tower, mine was more nostalgic and sentimental. Going up the second highest point in Seoul was already an experience on its own. The ambiance at the multi storey tower plaza was so romantic. Everything about the tower was all about romance. No wonder there is a couple's lock at the tower platform. Everything from the background music to the lighting was built for romance. I only wish we could have stayed there a few hours longer to slowly sip a cup of coffee while taking timelapse of the beautiful view. My thought flew back 7 years ago when we were up the Kuala Lumpur tower. When I first brought Anny to see Kuala Lumpur from a bird's eye view way up at the Kuala Lumpur tower. Needless to say, she now lives in Kuala Lumpur. This is Episode 5 of our South Korea Trip. Watch other episodes at:

LEAVING TO ALPENSIA, PYEONGCHANG FOR SKIING. SOUTH KOREA EPISODE 4

With heavy heart we left Jeju Island for Holiday Inn ski Resort in Pyeongchang, South Korea via a 1.1 hour flight. There are so much more to see and experience in Jeju Island but our adventure were limited by the winter (I heard there's a beautiful beach and another mountain that we should hike). The bus from the airport to the Alpensia Ski Resort in Pyeongchang was a 3 hours drive and we had a fantastic time singing out-of-tune karoeke'ing and dancing in the bus. Unfortunately, I'm not able to upload those karoeke moments without risking being flag by Youtube for licensing requirement (sorry Wawa, Azhar & Shamsul). We were also entertained by Azhar Sulaiman in-bus dangdut sessions. Skiing for the first time was a completely different world but what was out of the world moment was the breathtaking view of the mountain. God knows how much I felt at peace and love that beautiful scenery (one of the reason I once picked up mountain climbing as a hobby). We shall be back skiing or at least for the mountain scenic peace. Next video is on the amazing city of Seoul. "Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory" ~ Theodor Seuss Geiser. I am one of those sentimental folks whom love to cherish every moment and journey in life. In a few years, its good to walk down memory lane and re-live + cherish all these moments. I must have got it from my dad whom had video recorded all our childhood on a huge camcorder that uses 'film' in the 70s. Video recording then was not that easy and it would take quite an effort to bring around a huge camcorder (one day, I may convert those videos into a vlog). Anny and Aarya had their first encounter with Snow. This reminded me of those university days (almost 3 decades ago) in Buckingham, England when it snows. There was another Malaysian (Vincent, a law student~ wonder what happen to him; we've lost contact since graduation) in our hostel and I was shocked when he screamed in the wee hour of the morning knocking on hostel room door, 'MIng Ming Ming.. snow snow snow' in his Sabahan accent. Needless to say, a bunch of us (Vincent, Joey, the late Nazrin etc went out and rolled in the snow hahaaa like how jakun Mat Salleh is, sunbathing in hot Malaysia. (Anny wasnt so jakun, maybe trying to look cool ahaks). Needless to say, if you have not been to the Alpensia, Pyeongchang in South Korea, please have them in your list of places to visit. Even if you dont like the skiing, go there for the beautiful scenic view. Simply breaktaking! Mesmerising. Please subscribed, there will be new videos every Tuesday (maybe more) everyweek. Amazing Jeju Tangerine picking, Teddy Bear Museum, Mysterious Road, The Painters Hero, Dragon Head Stone. South Korea Episode 3

Today we explored Jeju's tourist finest destination, the Tangerine farm, Teddy Bear Museum, Mysterious Road, The Painter's Hero Performing Arts and the UNESCO Dragon Head Stone. Jeju Island is filled with amazing places for tourists and today we tasted the sweetest tangerine straight from the tree. We never thought we would enjoy fruit picking but we really did. The teddy bear museum was unique and elegant but I cant stop thinking why would anyone invest so much money in a multi storey museum for teddy bears. The Mysterious Road outperformed the 'Ripley's Believe It or Not' record especially since its a real life mystery experience and seriously.. it felt so real. What I enjoyed the most is the Hero Performing Arts, I've never seen such a talented group of people whom are so energetic, so talented in drawing and orchestrated & synchronised dance. Their showmanship was exemplary and impeccable. I gave it a 10/10. If you are visiting Jeju Island, Dropby the Hero Performing Arts. The Dragon Head Stone is equally attractive but do visit them earlier during the day. We arrived quite late in the evening. We had such a memorable moments in Jeju Island and tomorrow we shall leave to Seoul. Stay tuned for the next video where most of our family members will be experiencing -6 degrees weather & skiing for the first time. Hiking up Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, Jeju Island South Korea. Episode 2

Seongsan Ilchubong or what is known as the Sunrise Peak was one of the itinerary packed for our family trip to South Korea. It was a friendly hike up the peak that rose under the sea in a volcanic eruption over 100,000 years ago. It was recognized for its outstanding landscape and geological value and was added on 2 July 2007 on UNESCO World Heritage List. Our family of 27 pax hiked up the peak but some did not make it through. It's a friendly mountain but it can be challenging for those that is not fit (especially in the winter cold). My parents stayed back while we climbed, Anny Chunraem and Aarya Ayna stayed back at the basecamp because Aarya was sick. Other fitter climbers had a wonderful climb mesmerising the priceless beauty. It would have been a better scenic in summer but the view was breathtaking nonetheless. If you enjoy the video, please Like and leave a comment. EXPLORING VIETNAM - GORGEOUS PLACE FOR FAMILY ADVENTURE

Searching for a holiday package for our family of 26 people from aged from 2 years old to 72 is always a daunting tasks. For one, we need a tourist area that is both friendly to elders and children and secondly, we need a place that have easy access to halal food. After a long search, Vietnam sounds ideal and that was what we did. This video is all about the places we visit in Vietnam.

THE ORIGINAL STEAK HOUSE, PHNOM PEHN

Fine dining restaurants have been mushrooming at every corner in the street of Phnom Pehn and if you ever landed in the capital and the largest city in Cambodia, you must try out the Original Steak House, a western cuisine and international restaurant. The fashionably casual steakhouse conveniently located at Cambodia's biggest shopping mall., Aeon Mall where you can have a drink at the outdoor bar or have a quality meal in an cozy air-condition indoor dining area.

I was invited and attended the steakhouse official launching last night with my business partner Steven Path and his lovely wife Anna Chan. The Official launching was attended by more than 300 of Phnom Pehn finest circle of people. I was introduced and befriended Pily Wong, the founder and owner of the restaurant during my last visit at Phnom Pehn by Steven Path. The smart and well dressed in suit Pily Wong is also the co-founder of Cambodia Automotive Industry Federation (CAIF) and also the Chief Executive Officer for Hung Hiep (Cambodia) Co Ltd, the only Mercedes Benz dealership in Cambodia.

The fashionably-casual steakhouse is conveniently located at Aeon Mall, No. 132, Samdech Sothearos Blvd (3), Aeon Mall, Terrace Avenue, Ground Floor, 12301 Phnom Penh. About 5 minutes away from the Nagaworld Hotel. You can find the restaurant on Facebook too at https://www.facebook.com/theoriginalsteakhouse. The steakhouse was born from Pily's high taste and big appetite for quality reasonably priced steak which is abit lacking in Phnom Pehn. At the launching, guests were treated to a free flow of the finest steak on the menu with appetizer and dessert. The steak was so tender and juicy.

We wish the Original Steakhouse, the enterprising Pily Wong and his beautiful wife Kelly the best in this new endeavor. Thank you for having us.

ART IN PARADISE, 3D MUSEUM BANGKOK

Amazing Bangkok! If you are visiting Bangkok with kids, a must visit place is the Art in Paradise; Bangkok Trickeye 3D Museum located at 4th Floor, Esplanade Shopping Mall, Ratchadapisek Road Din Daeng, Bangkok, Thailand 10400. The amazing artwork is open from 10am to 10pm and it only cost 300baht (approx RM30) for foreigner Adult and 200 Baht (RM20) for foreigner child. Local Khun Thai (or half Khun Thai like me), only pays 180 baht (RM18).

You will be amazed at the real life or bring to life art exhibit at the Museum. It is particularly exciting if you are camwhores like us. If you are an acute camwhores, do reserve at least half a day for unlimited poses and camwhoring.

Most of the pictures were drawn on either the floor or the wall. It look so real.

THE AMAZING BANGKOK

There is only one word for Bangkok.... FOOD!! Food heaven! We touched down in Bangkok on Friday testing out for the first time the youngest low cost airline in Malaysia, the Malindo Air. Malindo Air was the cheapest airline to Bangkok at the point of booking. Airasia and Malaysian Airlines are both equally expensive. We parked our car at KLIA for a RM46 fee per 24 hours parking which is cheaper than taking a return KL Express train or even a taxi. For more information on KLIA short term and long term parking, click HERE.

Our first restaurant upon arrival was Kruaphruksa Thai cuisine.

MALINDO AIR - OUR FIRST RIDE

It never crossed my mind to even view Malindo Air for traveling but when my brother Amnan Bazli Pahamin prompted me to try out the latest low cost airline in the region for a weekend in Bangkok, the adventurous side took the good of me. We booked online at here. When Airasia and Malaysia Airlines cost more than RM500 for a return trip, Malindo Air charges only approximately RM300 for a return trip. So Amnan Bazli Pahamin, Anny Chunraem, Aaraf Armin and I booked and paid.

My first thought and impression of the Malindo Air was flying a propeller 80 seater plane or an old squeaky plane. Anny whom live with a plane phobia all her life was freaking out and almost refused to get on the Malindo Air. She nagged at me on safety and reminded me on the many planes that had crashed.

When we checked in, the queuing and waiting list was bearable. The counter crew was courteous and fast.

We waited, queued and boarded the plane and as we walked into flight SL 8201, I then discovered it was a new Boeng 737-900ER with 215 seater. The airline too was punctual which is important. The seats were all in blue and the ambiance was really cooling. Aaraf quickly fell in love with the Malindo.

YEAR END ESCAPADE TO DUBAI & ABU DHABI.

If you are granted one wish and only one, what would you pray for? Different people have different wants and need (some does not even know what they want) but my siblings only have one mutual want echoing my parents only dream, which was to have all their children, in laws and grandchildren to always be together throughout as many generations. The same sentiment gave birth to our residence, the Bustanu (meaning: The Gardens of) Pahamin which currently accommodate three generations in more than 2 acres of land living harmoniously in the same compound to an annual oversea trips to further foster the family close relationship. Although we live in the same compound, the daily hectic schedule of each family member forbid us from a daily gathering but the oversea trip became an escapade away from any business, work or whatever appointments, the trip was all about the family.

This year, we went to Dubai. The whole battalion of 22 pax went except for Azhar Sulaiman whom had to stay back alone in Malaysia having accepted a long winding assignment which ran throughout the traveling dates. We were toying a few countries to visit but Dubai came with the voices of the majority. Democracy ran even in family decision making irrespective of gender and age.

The youngest in the battalion was Mohamad Khaleef Shamsul aged, 6 months old and the oldest.. of course, my dad aged 67 whom also hold the record of 6 children. Rhiza and Melor are both catching up fast with 4 children while Chempaka Emalin Pahamin and Azhar Sulaiman has stopped producing but perhaps, Dr Teratai Edithy Pahamin and Shazrul Shaari may break the record although currently, they only have Shazrai and Shazrhy. Rumours has it, Rose Emini Pahamin and Shamsul Adnan are a potential record breaker.  Me... I am contented with my wonderful Aaraf Armin but given a chance Allah hu alam (Allah knows best), I want at least 4 children. Having a big family is a true blessing.

Our travel agent for this tour was Parlo Tours Sdn Bhd. Our traveling destination was Dubai and Abu Dhabi. We arrived at the airport in a long queue but the 'online checked-in' expedited the whole queue process and seating arrangement (Note: always check-in online before departure).

We took the Emirates. I've downloaded a few movies to watched in the 7 hours of flight journey but slept throughout the flight. Aaraf finished the whole season 3, the Grims. We arrived in Dubai as scheduled and was greeted by a blond tour guide. I peep through the counters, shops and browsed through the airport to see how the local Dubai'ian looks like? Typical Arabs or... but I did not see any Arab looking people. There were a great mix of race varieties. Dubai has a population of about 2 million and the majority are indians. The local which are of Arab descendant comprised of only 10% while the balance population are foreign. For the longest of time, only the 10% locals were allowed to own any property in Dubai. Now, the government has opened up for foreigner to owned properties in Dubai but only at specific location.

6D MOTION ADVENTURE, CP ARCADE @ IKANO POWER CENTRE

Have you heard of the 6D motion adventure? I first learn of the 6D motion adventure at the Ikano Power Centre today on Merdeka day 31st August 2013 when my son Aaraf Eid Pahamin and his cousin Andika Rees Pahamin eagerly and excitedly asked me to bring them to the CP Arcade located on 2nd Floor, IPC Shopping Centre, Mutiara Damansara.

Anyone whom have not been to the 6D motion adventure should at least experience it once and once they tried the 6D adventure, they will keep coming back for more. Well at least it is true for kids. Which kid would not be excited to watch a 6D motion adventure? The same with Aaraf and Rees. Though this 6D adventure was new to me but Aaraf and Rees has been there twice before this with his mother Nawal Aini and Rees' dad Azhar Sulaiman.

I brought them both to the CP Arcade at 2pm after a good lunch at the Absolut Thai restaurant, bought them their ticket which cost RM12 per person (for a supposedly 10 minutes show) and left them there to choose the adventure of their choice since they both seemed to know exactly what they wanted to watch. I went window shopping while waiting for them. A moment later, Aaraf called and said they have finished the show and we gathered.

From the earlier enthusiasm, I was surprised to see them both less excited. Puzzled, I asked how was the exciting 6D adventure and they replied, it was boring because they have already seen it. Confused, I questioned them both again why they had picked a show that they have already watched. Aaraf said, he wanted to watch the "Deep Ocean" but the Officer at the entrance insisted for them both to watch the Roller Coaster.

THE ROAD LESS TRAVELLED.. PART 1: ISRAEL/PALESTINE

Our traveling date were moved more than a month forward to 27 February 2013 in anticipation of the 13th general election that could be called anytime soon. It has been 24 years since I last traveled only with my parent. In the past, it will always be a mesmerizing trip with the whole battalion of at least 6 siblings (now almost triple with the in-laws and the next generation) but this trip encompasses of only me, my elder sister Chempaka Emalin and my parent for a spiritual journey to Mecca but we took a longer route via Jordan and a stop in Jerusalem, Palestine (Israel).

27 February 2013. We left Malaysia via Royal Jordanian Airlines on 27 February 2013 and arrived in Queen Alia International Airport on 28th February 2013 at 6am to be greeted by De Mawardah Travel Agent officer whom brought us for breakfast. Amman was cold!

Our first stop was for breakfast.

We had the Jordanian "Roti Canai?"... with eggs and humus. Nice? you damn right but the size of one roti is enought to feed us whole family!!

After breakfast, we continued our journey to the King Hussein bridge which was the border to Paletistine. I was fascinated with the architecture of houses and buildings in Amman.  There were all 'square' without any roof? Jordan is a country with 70% dessert but the Jordanian Dinar is a stronger currency than US Dollar.

COBC TEAM RENDERVOUS AT SEPANG GOLDEN PALM TREE RESORT

The year 2012 ended with a good fond memory when the whole team except LC Affiq Zakie & LC Foong from the Chief's Original Bootcamp went on a fully paid escapade to the Golden Palm Tree Goldcoast Resort & Spa in Sepang. The year 2012 has been both kind and generous to us all. Sarge Wan was blessed with another child, COBC was blessed with a few superbly fine instructors namely LC Amir, LC Azmir and LC Affiq (straight A's aka AAA aka 3As). 2012 also saw COBC co-sponsoring the most talked about series of races under Malakoff to further reiterate our support for outdoor activities.

The team deserves a good break having worked under all weather condition Hail, Rain or Shine for 48 consecutive weeks. After the escapade, COBC shall be on its longest 2 weeks break to greet the New Year.  What happen during the escapade were censored from public knowledge but below are snapshots of the uncensored topless pose as well as some activities at the Goldcoast... enjoy!! click on picture to enlarge.
