ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP MALAYSIA OCTOBER HILARIOUS PARTY

It is customary for the bootcampers at the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP MALAYSIA @ Bandar Utama to gather for a monthly celebration cum party with a creative theme. This monthly get-together was to create a platform for bootcampers to share their passion, enthusiasm and experiences during training as well as get-to-know the trainers and other comrades from other platoon... especially after 1 whole month of consistent, discipline and intensive training to keep and be healthy.

The theme for October graduation that was held yesterday 3 November 2010 was "NERD & GEEK", dont ask me how that theme came about but that was it..... and there was no better place to cater for the theme than the LIBRARY, ground floor e-Curve (formerly known as Cineleisure) Mutiara Damansara.

Everymonth, a lot of effort is spent to get the best place and the best theme for the bootcampers. Special thank you note to Event Chairman Rose Emini Pahamin for burning the extra 'calories' in organising the event.

The party was also a special celebration to welcome back Corporal (OBC) Chun aka Chun Chia Kai from Athens. Corporal Chun, a pioneer instructor at the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP MALAYSIA @ Bandar Utama made Malaysia, the OBC MALAYSIA, OBC AUSTRALIA, the recruits and me proud when he self-funded himself to run at the birth place of Marathon for the 2,500th year of Marathon in Athens and completed the 42.195km in 5 hours. Corporal (OBC) Chun & OBC-BU recruit VIVIEN LUYEN OW was the only 2 marathoners from Malaysia.

Vivien Luyen Ow was in Barcelona with David to celebrate her first marathon and was not available to attend the Nerd & Geek party... so we celebrate on her behalf.

The OBC-BU admins and instructors arrived at the Library an hour earlier at 6:30pm to greet and welcomes the bootcampers. We had a good laugh looking at how ridiculously Nerdy & Geeky we all look. The theme Nerd & Geek was hilarious.. we almost rolled on the floor laughing.... No correction, we were rolling on the floor laughing our ass off.

Then slowly others began to arrive.. We had more than 50 bootcampers although only 40 people replied and rsvp'ed. The whole first floor of the Library was blocked and packed with bootcampers from OBC-BU.

While waiting for everybody to arrive, we camwhore just a little...

Undi itu rahsia... (voting is a secret). All balloting papers were kept in a transparent glass bottle. Undi Pos (Voting by Post) was not entertained to avoid any dispute but there were rumours, of vote-buying.

After repeated count and re-count of votes.. and when the election commission were satisfied, they had concluded....

There were real nerds, nerds-wannabees, acting nerds, nerd-de facto etc etc that attended the graduation party tonight. Will the real nerds win the Geek-King & Queen???

Or can the Nerds wannabees outshined the nerds tulen (original)?

It was a night of laughter.. we were Laughing Out Loud (LOL) & giggling the whole night.. and at times Rolling On The Floor Laughing Out Loud (ROTFLOL).. who would ever thought being a nerd can be so hilarious and fun... no wonder the real King of Nerd BILL GATES became a billionaire...
