A SHOCKING PLEASURE, PRICELESS MOMENT...

.

BOOM SHAK ALAK!!!!!!
SURPRISE!!!!!!!
SHAK ALAKA BOM BOM!!! Shocked, surprised, astonished, shy, embarrassed, happy, tearful, overwhelmed...  was all ME when suddenly Rose Emini & Nyna Mohsen jumped out of nowhere as we entered the Alexis Coffee house with Dr Malek Aziz and Farhanah Bamadhaj at 8:30pm.

CHAPTER 1: What happen during the day..
Today was a Shock-a-Rushing day from as early as 5am when I rushed to Padang Merbuk for the Bootcamp training and forgotten to wear the Polar Heart rate monitor strap. After the Bootcamp, I wanted to rushed straight for home for an early meeting but had the first SURPRISED and SHOCKED with an unexpected but pleasant birthday shower & splashing of water by recruits @ KL Alpha commanded by Natassya Lee (notice I remember who the Chief was!!). I then headed straight for Proton Edar Platinum showroom at Mutiara Damansara to chair PEDA's monthly committee meeting, before rushing again to the Allianz head office at KL Sentral to meet the Chief Operating Office, Horst Hobbit being one of the important stakeholder in Proton Dealers network. 80% of Proton dealers are with Allianz. Then to another meeting appointment.

After a long day of meeting after meeting, I left for a short nap back home with a massive headache and an irritating eye infection. Barely an hour of nap, I woke up shocked again by an SMS at 7pm from Rose Emini, to confirm tonight's dinner that state at the REDBOX karoeke lounge. I would have preferred a quiet seafood dinner instead but I am never a party spoiler. Half awake, I went to my private office at home to blog  today's Bootcamp journal and left for the Garden, Mid-valley just before 8pm..... ok abit late for the scheduled time 8pm (sorry..)

As I was driving, I had another SHOCK and SURPRISED to find a Blank screen on my Blackberry phone.. it went dead!! I mean the screen just went blank without anything but I was still able to make calls. I called maxis when we arrived at the Gardens as we walked to the Alexis. Half-way through, we met Dr Malek Aziz and Farhanah Bamadhaj whom were searching for us on the pre-text that we could not find the restaurant.

"I walked into the Alexis... still talking on the phone.........."

and that was when I had the ORGASMIC SHOCKED!!!.... again!! When I saw Rose Emini and Nyna Mohsen, I expect to see the usuals Suriana Saiful, Ili Liyana Baharon,  etc etc.. whom would never refused Food... but upon sighting almost the whole KL ALpha Platoon inside the Alexis.. I had another orgasmic shocked!! A MULTIPLE ORGASMIC SURPRISE!!!

Everybody was there, all 40 of them and there were no AWOLs... or it would be ironic to do 100 grunts during party. There were Abu Lais Walli Mohamed (Bootcamp October '09), Aisan Lim, Ana Aziz Kasim Anita Ahmad, Chun SSJ, Cynthia Gan SSJ, Danial Ismail, Daing Daniel Fitri, Danny Quest, Faizal Ariff Abdullah, Farhanah Bamadhaj, Farrah Vivien Raguet, Fazura Nur Jaafar, Hafiz Omar, Hamidi Hassan, Ili Liyana Baharon, Ilyanna Aylin Ayob, Irwan Anwar, Kenix Lim, Leesa Tan, Lizza Abdul Rahim, Dr Malek Aziz, Nyna Mohsen, Ody Lana, Reza Seth, Rose Emini Pahamin, Shammy Ooi, Shobha Bala, Suloshini Jahanath, Suriana Saiful, Syazana Amran, Syed Mahadzir Syed Manshor, Tomi Soetjipto, Tricia Especkerman, Vivien Luyen Ow, Wai-Yee Chan and Yash Qasim.

It was a SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR NAWAL AINI ZULKIFLI AND ME....

The surprise birthday party was themed "Black & White"... and everybody came in Black and White attire.... Now it is official in explicit Black and White that we are..........1Kiasu?, 1family?, 1bunch?.. whatever...

What happen before the Bom Shak alak...
CHAPTER 2: The Planning & Preparation

The idea was originated from this two naughty angels Rose Emini Pahamin and Nyna Mohsen whom was planning the surprise party since last year... last year? Woww! Farhanah Bamadhaj, Ili Liyana Baharon and Faizal Ariff Abdullah then became the working committee and runner to make sure the party went smooth.

They had earlier secure the Alexis parameter and launched a Coup De' etat on Alexis for our function to ensure no trespassers and send in their intelligence (Dr Malek & Farhanah) to ensure Nawal and I had no suspicion... hence, why we met them half-way before the Alexis earlier.

Unbeknown to us, everybody was waiting to ambushed and screamed. I was still talking on the phone and was puzzled upon hearing all the SURPRISE screams as I entered the Alexis.

Ili Liyana Baharon was the first to arrived at 6pm, then Dr Malek Aziz, Farhanah Bamadhaj, Shobha Bala, Aisan and Reza Seth followed by other invited guests whom were all there by 7:30pm except for a few that arrived fashionably late.... Everybody was asked to signed the Giant Card....

Then everybody 'Gotong-Royong' to decorate the place..

Continue from the Bom Shak Alak... The arrival @ Alexis...
CHAPTER 3: The Arrivals...
After being ambushed and surprised and thrown us into multiple orgasmic Shocked and Surprises, we greeted all our Guests....

CHAPTER 4: The Guessing Games
We took our seat, ordered our food and was asked to guess the number of 'Cookies in Jar' and 'Jellies in Jar'.

Everybody was allowed only one guess but everybody must guess, the number of cookies and jelly in the jars. There will by Four Mystery gifts for the winner; 2nd runner up and champion for both cookies and Jelly. The party guessing games added some joy and hip up the atmosphere.... and somehow I picked number 33 and 48... for no absolute reason.

CHAPTER 5: The Birthday Song....
After a few moment, its Singing the Birthday Song time.......... the candles were lit which was not that many given our young age.... and then everybody sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME.... eh.. and also to Nawal!!

and after singing the birthday song........ this Chief-Chicken- Damn-Blardy-Kiasu Shobha Bala had to smacked one of the cup cake on me... but me being a Seal, my face was left unscratched. (Stick tongue out until the chin at Shobha).

Thank god its a cupcake........ would have been a different picture if it was an icing-cake...

CHAPTER 6: Opening the Birthday Gifts & Presents

Last year, I adopted the no-present-on-my-birthday-policy. Birthday is a very special day but the special sentiment associated with the brithday was forgotten. Infact, diminishes and superseded with the excitement and/or expectation of getting Gifts and presents. Birthday should be the day to appreciate our mother whom had given birth to us and our parent whom stood by us throughout our childhood tantrums, teenage rebels & notoriety and guide us through the challenges in life to make us who we are now. We should buy presents & Gifts to Mum & Dad instead. We should be thankful to God the Almighty for the best recipe mix that make us so handsome, macho, pretty, hilarious, hot, sexy.. err excluding those thunder thigh and huge waist line which was self-inflicted from food indulgence overdosed. On my birthday too.. I wanted to appreciate and be a better friend to all my friends whom stood by me with my endless flaw through thick and thin... I wanted to be a better person to Nawal whom accepted me for who I am...  All that I wanted from everybody and anybody... was a prayer for better health and happiness. BUT friends being friends........... they are as stubborn as me... they still lavish me with Gifts and Presents. I have no other words but to say thank you for the kindness.

ABU LAIS WALLI MOHAMED & ANITA AHMAD... 15 years old friendship!! The sort of friend that always spoils me every year... Thank you for the lovely present

TOMI SOETJIPTO & TRICIA ESPECKERMEN
My screaming partner @ the Bootcamp, sometimes I wonder if I screamed more or Tomi.Tomi, How did you manage to snap my picture, print, frame and wrapped it so nicely.....? Very creative..  Thank you Tomi. Thank you Tricia.

DANNY QUEST & WAN ROZANA @ ANA AZIZ-KASSIM.

The Newly-Wed... whom is only punctual during Bootcamp Session and always 'fashionably late on every other occasion.

Thank you for the special late-appearance today and the lovely hand-crafted gift.

Thank you for being here with us on our meaningful day and for being a 'nightmare' whenever there is no motivation to wake up early for training.
SULOSHINI JAHANATH & SYAZANA AMRAN.....

The two Iron Seals of Bootcamp...Now that we have TWO board games, the Taboo & Twister.... and a 'swimming pool'.... name me the day & time!!

Sulo & Syaza... Thank you for celebrating with us on our birthday and for the present... we will try not to twist you

SYED MAHADZIR SYED MANSHOR..... aka DED.

That chocolate was so irresistable.. I ate them all!!! Yiiii.. You spoil my diet!!! *stick tongue out*

Ded, thank you for the chocolate and the extra calories.

IRWAN ANWAR.... my fellow Delta. Thank you for making me sweeter with another box of chocolate, calories and fat.

Irwan, thank you for celebrating our special day.

Dr Malek Aziz, Farhanah Bamadhaj, Ili Liyana Baharon, Ilyanna Ayob, Syed Mahadzir Syed Manshor @ Ded, Danial Ismail, SHammy Ooi, Suriana Saiful, Chun Chia Kai SSJ, Fazura Nur Jaafar, Lizza Abdul Rahim, Aisan Lim.....

I have been searching high and low for a good adjustable ear-phone for my ipod while running!! and finally found it the present-box from all of you... and the Phiten X50 chain!! Chun SSJ.. watch out, I may overtake you now with the Phiten!!

I am speechless and wordless. All that I can say is.... thank you.

And more present from Leesa Tan, Wai-Yee Chan, Vivien Luyen Ow, Farrah Vivien Raguet and Kenix Lim.. and Alex Nathan (Not in Picture). Thank you for MORE & MORE CHOCOLATES... This is almost a sabotage but rest assure Nawal will finish all the chocolates .

FIVE SESSION OF ACE PHYSIOTHERAPY.... Wonderful!!!!! I shall keep it for EMERGENCY.. such as the much awaited INTERNATIONAL PLATOON VS PLATOON.. AUSTRALIA VS MALAYSIA.. hopefully soon..... but inevitbaly may use it sooner than that!!

Thank you for your concern for my knee. My knee said thank you from the bottom of the bone. Only your knees would know how much my knee appreciate the thought.

Finally.... my angels. I love the Army cap, the Army.... Beret? and the army shorts!! Corporal Faizal, watchout... I may wear the army attire and give you 200 Grunts (evil joking grin). THANK YOU DARLING ANGELS...  what I wanted to say is said in the last paragraph of the blog...

CHAPTER 8: The Speeches

I volunteered to stand-up on the chair to deliver My speech.......

I woke up today at the wrong side of the bed... at 5:15am and was almost late for bootcamp training!!

After the Bootcamp training, Natassya Lee and Co SPLASH AND SHOWERED, completely drenched me in water !!!  and I thought that shall be the end of my birthday surpirses... and now... the mother of all surprises!!
I almost cancelled tonight when I am down with a bad headache and not in the best of mood after a long day in meeting after meeting.

But I will never be a party spoiler... especially since tonight was already pre-agreed a week ago with Dr Malek Aziz.  I expected to meet Suriana Saiful, Ili Liyana Baharon, Danial Ismail, Rose Emini and Nyna Mohsen for a quite dinner or a karoeke session... Nawal's favourite outing.
I was talking on the phone when we walked into the Alexis... and was so confused probably being blur from mental exhaustion when suddenly Rose Emini and Nyna Mohsen jumped out of no-where and screamed SURPRISE!!!

But this two girls always do this too.. I mean jumping out of no-where and scream for nothing.. so I just ignore them (still talking on the phone).. Then I saw Abu Lais... Chun Chia KaiSSJ...

and suddenly saw and notice everybody... my entire FELLOW BOOTCAMPERS FROM KL ALPHA!!!!!!

I least expected to see Kenix Lim, Leesa Tan, Tricia Especkerman, Tomi Soetjipto, Cynthia Gan SSJ, Syazana Amran, Suloshini Jahanath, Irwan Anwar... and in fact, I did not expected to see any other Bootcampers that had 'Ayam' this month...

but even the Chief Ayam.. Shobha Bala is also here now... Surprise is an understatement. The long stressful day, mental exhaustion, the waking up on the wrong side, the bad mood... all suddenly disappeared.

This is a wonderful surprise.. Yes, I did suspect some cake cutting with probably 6-8 people but I never expect to see the whole KL Alpha platoon...

.

I am so fortunate to be surrounded by passionate friends.. friends that share the same passion. Friends that are both inspiring and motivating.

I am very lucky to have you and I am so proud to have all of you as my friend.

Thank you
(As I finish my speech, Faizal led everybody to screamed our regular trade-mark... 3... 2.. 1... HOOOOYAAAH!!!

CHAPTER 9: Candids & Camwhoring

It was such a wonderful and great moment...

CHAPTER 10: Special Message

My Darling Sister, Rose Emini & Nyna Mohsen. You have never failed to amazed me with your cheekiness, joy, fun, loving and friendly spirit. The best gift anyone can give especially on a birthday is a Special Memory that will last a lifetime. Memories that can be cherished at any moment.  Moments that we can reminisce, smile and laughed at any given time. Moments that will be a nostalgia.

I can never repay this night that you gave me... the time sacrificed and spent to ensure the party went smooth and well. The mental exhaustion thinking of a concept, decoration and people to invite. The Opportunity Cost between planning our party and social time with friends, work, entertainment and other better things to do. The Energy used in searching and seeking for the best venue to hold the party. The coordinating stress from sending invitations, fetching party decorations and decorating the place to ordering and transporting the cakes etc but most importantly the love and thought to plan and organize the party for us.

This night is very meaningful to me. To be surrounded and celebrate my special day with people that share my passion. To know and to gather all the people that share my passion, is heartfelt.

Especially the sincere gesture and affection in making the night the most memorable night.... is more than I can ask from a sister. I am tearfully grateful. Thank you Emi and Nyna.

I love you no matter how fat, small, big thin, thunder thigh, drummies, bangau leg, humpty dumpty or kayu papan... it doesnt matter, just make sure you walk a mile behind me... stick tongue out into the nose.

My passionate friends, Thank you for being there to share our birthday joy. I know the stress battling the horrendous after-office traffic, leaving early with horrifying office-work overload and the time away from your family to be at Alexis early to surprise us on our birthday. I did not know what I did to deserve a bunch of lovely people.. maybe it was the loud screaming at padang merbuk (scratching head).. or maybe it was the mud-bath after effect.... but i think it is just me.......... wink wink.

The venue Alexis was perfect, the surprises, the ambiance, the decorations, the balloons, the Nyna's Oven cookies as door gift, the stars on the table (which some ended on Tomi's face), the party games and especially the invited people were all PERFECT!!!! I LOVE EVERYTHING AS IT IS... it was well planned and heart touching moment. I can't say enough Thank you to everybody for making the night so memorable... thank you.. thank... you... thank you....

Nawal Aini Zulkifli............ HAPPY BIRTHDAY....... On your birthday... hehheheee.. shy to say here. I will whisper in your ear!

THANK YOU

NOTE: BOOTCAMP FEBRUARY 2010 GRADUATION NIGHT will be held at Borneo Rainforest, Sunway 8:30pm onwards..... (Details of past Graduation see: Graduation 1, Graduation 2).
********************************************************************

Knock knock knock... Ein, our house maid knocked on my Door asking if I do not have my Bootcamp training today... "Its already 5:15am!!",  she said. "What!!???? OF COURSE I HAVE BOOTCAMP!!!!", I screamed  (at myself!!) and jumped out of bed straight into the toilet and emptied the well-trained bowel, gulped 15lb water  mixed with 'Smash Fully Loaded' by Axislabs, pre-workout drink and unto my silver horse to the Bootcamp at Padang Merbuk at 5:30am. Yiiii... forgot to brush my teeth... Okay ok, too much information..

Almost broke my 100% full attendance and punctuality record.. almost but not yet and hopefully never (hear that Shobha Bala). I arrived to see Veteran recruit Farhanah Bamadhaj and Chun SSJ already ready to Rawk  the morning and saw Reza Seth, an actuarial science Risk Manager, shy'ing away all by himself at one corner. Its very typical of this man to always be by himself... soft spoken, quiet and a gentlemen. The sort that I would pick to vary the many characters to blog.

Sarge Simran, Corporal Faisal Ariff Abdullah and Lans Corporal Elin were the three instructors today. Sargent Sim did the roll call and there were 4 AWOLs namely, Scott Verret, Dinesh Nagalingam, xxx (cant remember the name) and xxx (Cant remember the name). There was one late-comer, Brenda. Marcos Salama was almost late and was only ticked off instead.

The Mandatory additional workout for AWOL and Late-Comer today was the best!!! Its a RE-MIX of 30 seconds squat pulses and 10 reps Grunts for a total of 4 1/2 sets!!! THANK YOU SCOT, DINESH, BRENDA, ....

We were then separated according to our rank and the Seals began with Sarge Sim and the mother of rope Ms Tee (Tali/Rope). The Seals were further split into three group and my group had 7 seals sharing the heaviest and longest rope. The first workout requires the Seal to stretched with both arm straight above the head lifting the fat & heavy rope and performed 4 sets of 20 seconds squat (with both arm stretched high up holding Ms Tee at all time). This is a damn good exercise to workout the leg muscle and the shoulder.

The second workout was for an equivalent 4 sets of 20 seconds lunges with Ms Tee held at chest level at all time. At this juncture, the thigh and glut should at least moan and groan but some a few people was screaming like mad... including me. The trickiest part was to coordinate the movement with others whom were sharing the  same rope. Any team member that was too fast or too slow, will be a burden to other team members but the team spirit saw everybody screaming UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN...

We had the shoulder front raise on the third set; performed with one leg forward and both hand holding the rope at thigh level as the starting-point. The shoulder raise was performed for 4 sets of 20 seconds before varying the movement to performed another 4 sets of 20 seconds shoulder press with rope as the Fourth Set. This is an excellent workout to trim the shoulder.

The fifth set was a Killer. Truster with rope. Performed with holding the rope stretched up high above the head, drop the rope to the ground, extend both leg backward to form a push-up position, then jumped those leg back infront whilst still holding the rope on the ground, then stand up and lift the rope above the head and repeated for 30 seconds. Suddenly, everybody became 'BISU'... speechless except for sounds of heavy breathing.

The sixth workout was again... my favourite!!!! Its the Abs workout, an important exercise for our Spartan Race amongst 4 ex-recruits. The fat rope is held at thigh level on a military sit-up position as the starting position. On sitting-up, the rope must be extended beyond the knee by contracting the abs muscle before slowing back down until the upper back touches the ground. This again was repeated for 20 seconds and for a total of four sets. I luuurve it!! I love the excruciating pain as the muscle contracts.

The last exercise with Sarge Sim was a run around the rugby goal post. From the starting Goal Post, we ran with both arm stretch up holding the rope above the head at all time to the second goal post and ran back to the starting goal post with the rope on the shoulder. It was a pleasurable run.

After being raped by Sarge Sim, we move on to Corporal Faisal for the next circuit. The seal went for a jog and sprint. We ran in two lines for about 1 km and stopped at the foot of an uphill route. Corporal Faizal Ariff had 3 circuits prepared for the uphill route.

The first circuit requires us to TURBO-SPRINT 50 meter uphill from one lamp post to the next and a slow jog back to start point. I paced with Biing. This was done for a total of two sets. Corporal Faizal gave a challenged by sprinting alongside with us. This was the first sprint I had with Corporal Faizal Ariff and he was fast!!

The next circuit was the knee-to-palm run which was performed with both hand fix at waist level and the run requires the knee to be raised and tap the hand for an equivalent distant of 50 meters. Corporal Faizal gave me a 'Discount' and only need to raise the knee half way up instead of raising the knee all the way up to touch the palm at waist level. Anybody is entitle for the Discount upon submission of MRI & X-ray report for knee injury.. (stick tongue out)... Thanks Corporal!!

The last circuit was running side by side without crossing the leg. Beside strengthening the leg, this exercise is one of the best to shape and firm up for a nice perky ass.

We jog together in a group as a platoon back to Padang Merbuk whilst singing "We are KL we are Proud..." then forgotten the lyrics. We had the best and funtabulous time sweating out and burning fat this morning.......... I LOVE IT!!!! Burned 680 calories today!!!

HOOOOOOOYAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OBC-MAC 2/12: DELTA/SEAL LIST & RANKING... AND 'WET' SPLASHING DAY..

.

Its the second Bootcamp session for March after the Benchmark Assessment and today, every recruit will know their fitness ranking. For the benefit of new comers, there are three fitness level at the Bootcamp, namely the Delta, Seals and Rangers. The Delta is the hardest training program at the Bootcamp that separated the boys and the men, the Seal is what defines a person whilst the ranger is the learning curve. Although I had just celebrated my birthday 2 days ago... but still is a boy.... and was graded as a Seal.... unlike Aisan Lim whom was converted from a girl into a Man as Delta.

The list of Deltas are as follows:
1) Chun Chia Kai SSJ
2) Ilyanna Ayob
3) Marcos Salama
4) Ili Farhanah
5) Machiko
6) Masita
7) Nadia Hanim Tajuddin
8) Ashimah Thomas
9) Zam (full name?)
10) Irwan Anuar
11) Sandy Roberts
12) Shazrina Sabri
13) Aisan Lim
14) Danial Ismail
(There are more deltas but it will be updated later...)

The Seals are as follows:
1) ARMIN BANIAZ PAHAMIN
2) Farhanah Bamadhaj
3) Ili Liyana Baharon
4) Rachel Orleans
5) Azima Pandian
6) Suriana Saiful
7) Yushiza Yusof
8) Shammy Ooi
9) Amy Ho
10) Rienna Choo
11) Natassya Lee
12) Azman Zizal
13) Biing
14) E-lyn Tan
(There are more of Seals... which slipped off my mind and will be updated later)

There were three trainers today, namely Sarge Sim, Lans Corporal Danial Chong, and Lans Corporal Hafiz Omar. LC Danial is the fastest trainer at the Bootcamp Malaysia with a benchmark timing within 6 minutes for the Circuit and also 6 minutes for the 1 mile run. We had the pleasure of having him as KL Alpha instructor in October last year and have not had him since until today. Welcome back LC Danial. LC Hafiz Omar trained with us at KL Alpha in January 2010 before turning Red Tee (nick for trainers). He had promised to only train at KL Alpha and instruct at other Bootcamp session.. but then, promises are made to be broken? But its good to have you around.

Today, the new recruits had their first taste of TABATA or known as the Twenty Second Exercise, 10 Second Break, 20 Second exercise. See here for more information of TABATA.

The First set of TABATA was for 5 sets of  SUMO SQUAT.  We performed the Sumo Squat as per the picture below but with both arm stretched either forward or behind the ears. Once, I hate any form of leg exercises but now, I am happy to do any numbers of squat or squat pulses.... I love it!!

Then a CLOSE GRIP PUSH UP. I love the push-up and happily easily performed the push-up and felt the nice burn on the chest and tricep.

MILITARY SIT UP. My favourite workout exercises of all time... but it felt too easy.

BURPEE is done as follows but followed by a push-up after the leg was extended backward. The Burpee or grunts are not my cup of tea... Infact, I hate tea!!

The Second circuit is as follows........

SQUAT JUMP. With knee restriction, I was given the option to skipped the jumping portion but tip-toe'd instead of jumping. I was standing behind Irwan Anuar whom performed perfectly the squat jump.

MILITARY SIT-UPS

KINGKONG PUSH UPS. Performed similar to the military push ups but as the body is raised, the hand was alternated to clap the chest.

MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS. On a similar start-position to push-up, jump one-leg forward towards the chest with both hand glued to the ground (see picture below).

The Mountain Climbers is the mother of all exercises that I hate combined together but this exercise is important for overall strength.

The last set, the Fifth set was done with a longer time than the 20 seconds active on TABATA. The Delta had to performed 40 seconds of each of the above exercise, The Seals performed them for 30 Seconds and the Rangers for 20 Seconds.

Whilst performing the exercises above, SomeOne had to talk while Sarge Simran was giving instruction.... and the whole platoon was prescribed with and additional 20 GRUNTS... Grunts are performed as follows:

I am also not a big fan of Grunts but what else can we say beside.......... Thank You Chun SSJ.

After completing the circuits above, we gathered for the warming down session and had a loud screamed of Hooyaah!! But a bigger Hooooyaaaah came when NATASSYA LEE, and others gathered to POUR on me whatever that is left in their water bottle as a gentle and polite way of saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Thank you NATASSYA and thank you all for the surprise splashing of water session.... I shall not forget the day I was 'drooling wet'......

HOOOOOOOOOYAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ANOTHER WONDERFUL & BLISSFUL YEAR...

.

1 March 2010... 36 years ago in a small hut somewhere in Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan, a pretty young, lovely, charming and caring mother gave birth to a cute, adorable and handsome son...... Me. She was a teacher and dad was the State Development Officer in Negri Sembilan in 1974.

Mother was only 24 years old... still hot & adorable then and still is now at 62 years of age. Too hot that less than a year later.... Melor Edina Pahamin was born depriving my quality time with mother. Dad!!!!!

Mother and dad was not the only one that was the happiest when I was born but Chempaka Emalin Pahamin, the eldest too could not keep her hand off me. She would take me everywhere to play.. even to share her teddy bear.. (Eeek.. ). Chempaka Emalin has always been the household story-teller and sometimes we were stuck at the dinner table for hours listening to her stories.. If she does not tell tale, she will nag and nag.. (stick tongue out). ...but we do enjoy the tale (big smile).

This sister... Melor Edina Pahamin whom is only 11 months younger than me is the most 'Manja' in the family. Now all her 4 children inherited her character (slap my forehead, aiyoo).

When we were growing up, Melor was the closest to me being only a few months apart.. and could not understand why we had to be in separate class everytime we went to school. When we moved to Petaling Jaya from Kedah in 1986, I brought her on her first day at school when Dad and Mum had to attend to my other siblings and in that year almost beaten  up a guy who paid interest in her. Was so over-protective, I was 12 years old then. She was always with me until I left for London. I will visit her almost weekly while she was studying the International Baccallaureate in some jungle @ Banting. Then she left to live in another jungle @ the University Aberythswyth, Wales which I frequented but not as regular as when she was in Banting. I did not know how she survived in Aber until I found out later, that she was not there alone.. she had Rhiza Ghazi.. now the beloved and gentlement husband. No wonder she can easily fit in our house in some jungle @ Penchala.. she had good training in Banting and Aber.

Then in 1979..... Dr Teratai Edithy was born... Hmm.. yesss.. thats her (in the left picture).. the Bulat'est baby.. but now she is already slim... I think.

Now there's four of us... This sister, at the youngest age, always took care of us. When she was young, before she learn to prescribe medicine and diagnosing sickness as a doctor, she will always serve us 'seniors' food.... Eerr...Is that bullying?

When I was first admitted in General Hospital for Leukaemia, she was the only one that jumped to hug me and cried profusely screaming don't leave her, thinking that I am going to die. Other siblings probably secretly cried in the toilet.

In 1982.. came this sweet small adorable sister (on mum's lap)... Rose Emini Pahamin whom had grew up to became a certified accountant... but not the typical 'Square-Type' accountant. The party type of accountant.

Rose Emini was my not only my life Saviour being the Bone-marrow donor for my bone marrow transplant but she is now my partner's in crime!!! in most of the things that we do...!!!! yaa.. we are more or less of the same age now. Sometimes, I think she is older when she 'burn-out' faster than me (big grin).

Then came the youngest in the family.. Amnan Bazli born in 1985... some party animal whom are now happily enjoying his life in London.

When he was at school........ I had to rescue him many times from the school disciplinary teacher and from some gang-fight. Sheeesh.. I wanted to scold and beat him up for his notoriety but... I was like that too. So I am sure he will grow out of it... hopefully soon.

On my birthday today....... I am thankful beyond word to Dad, Mum and Sibilings whom had showered me with so much care, love and affection. I could not help but to smile and laugh reminiscing our growing up moment and what we grew up to become. Family values is indeed priceless. To grow up and be surrounded by loving and caring family members is God-gift. We had our fair share of sacrifices when growing up which I will forever reminisce and cherish.

Nawal Aini Zulkifli, whom tirelessly and patiently stood by me with all the flaw and sickness that a man can have and to bear me with the most adorable Aaraf Armin, only Allah swt can ever repay the loyalty, commitment and sacrifices. She bake for Dad, Melor and me her signature home-made chocolate birthday cake which... ironically, destroyed my well-preserved diet... its impossible to resist!!

I am grateful too, to be showered with wonderful friends and closest of relatives. Relatives and Friends whom asked for nothing except friendship and relationship. Relatives and Friends whom would stood through thick and thin and through happiness and sorrow. Relatives and Friends whom unite as one family.

To all relatives and friends whom took the trouble to buy presents & gifts, cards, email, sms, called and drop me a note to wish me a Happy and Merry Birthday....... I appreciate the gesture and will remember your kind prayer, Doa and greetings. To name a few.......

(my apology if I missed out any others... )

My apology if I could not reply to all the Greetings sent... but I do appreciate your kind thought to remember me on my birthday. Thank you.

From where I was, I never thought to see and celebrate another birthday. Until next year Insya Allah, take care of yourself and stay healthy.

When I was in SRK Kampung Tunku Primary school many many years ago, I always signed schoolmate's autograph book with F.R.A.N.C.E.... which means Friendship Remain And Never Can End... I am signing off with the same FRANCE.... You are the best!!

See: 2009 Birthday.
